Scope: Interior Architecture & Interior Design
Location: 20 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011
Project Type: Show House
For the 50th anniversary of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York, Ovadia Design Group made their Kips Bay debut by reimagining the entry, stairs, and landing at the 9,000-square-foot residence at 20 West 12th Street, the show house's first-ever downtown appearance. Stepping inside, Ovadia Design Group transformed the space as a passage into a dream, channeling the drama of hospitality with the warmth of home. The design captures the liminal beauty of midnight, where intimacy and imagination converge into an experience. It embodies the firm's signature: residences that feel like hotels.
"A Midnight Check-In" creates an evocative world where the tiger's protective spirit leads you into a dreamscape toward new beginnings. Just as the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club reminds us, if you can dream it, you can make it real. We are honored to showcase A Midnight Check-In for the 50th anniversary of the Kips Bay Decorator Show House with the support of the our sponsors and partners: Abask, Ace Glass, All Install LLC, Apollo Electric, Apparatus, Arte, Artisitc Tile, Baldwin Hardware, Benjamin Moore, Color Atelier, EmTek, Eteline, FauxCoos Studio, Holly Hunt, Jennifer Hansen Rolli, Lancaster Custom Cabinets & Closets Inc., Light Lab Lighting, Made Goods, Maison Gerard, Marras Curtis Lighting Design, Pace Gallery, Phillip Jeffries, Ralph Pucci, Serrano Good Touch, Shakuff, Stone Tech Fabrication, Taconic Builders, Tai Ping Carpets, The Art of Tint, The Finishing Touch, The ROMO Group, and Verellen.
